Mental Health Resources List – September 2025
I hope that you have all had a restful and enjoyable summer break and are ready for the new academic year. I also hope that all of our children and young people have had an opportunity to enjoy the lovely weather and are ready to take on the challenges of a new academic year.
We must remember that the summer break may not have been so relaxing or exciting for some staff or students.
We will need to begin the new term with knowledge and understanding about how some of our school community will be returning stressed, anxious and fearful of what the new year may bring. This might be because they are starting a new school, they have had significant family issues over the summer or they may just be concerned about what challenges lie ahead.
Whatever the reason, there is a wealth of support available for you to share with them.
I have updated my Mental Health Resources List to ensure that you have all the advice and support you may need yourself or to share with others.
The resources list can be found HERE
Senior Mental Health Lead Training
The DfE have recently announced that they will be continuing the funding for the Senior Mental Health Leads Training until March 2025. They have also announced that if the SMHL that accessed the training previously has now left your school or moved to another role then a second person can access the funded training.

Lorraine will be delivering the Intermediate and Advanced Training on behalf of Innovating Minds.
“I thought the online training was excellent – Lorraine encouraged the group to share so we benefited from the experience of a wide range of settings in addition to the course content. The coaching course I had recently was also excellent. Thank You”
